Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multi-cultural household. Born within South London. Her father and mother were both English. Her family was raised in a south London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age fourteen. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. The stage she appeared in was several productions as a student such as King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started with Storm Damage. Over the past few years, Madekwe has appeared in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. In the following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, she had the opportunity to play the part in the role of Bambi on the ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the three and two series. Madekwe was also a part of the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. The credits she has in her theatre work comprise Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program ran on The CW for only two episodes before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. Following her appearance as a regular on the first two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that she would quit the show following her appearance on the first episode from the 3rd season. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star in the role of Tituba in the TV series Salem. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he had a role alongside her on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings - Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball parks because her four athletic brothers all played baseball, hockey, and both in the winter and summer. Ashley was never able to walk. She was a dancer. When she reached just 2 1/2 years old and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing shortly after she joined the Baby Ballet. Ashley was a competitive dancer across all major divisions up until her graduation from high school. The competitions she participated in included jazz, tap, ballet, pointe and the acrobatics. She won the top soloist awards at all of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
